Synopsis of Study
Vulnerability as a currency to buy Greater capabilities and Empowerment
In this way, the vulnerability is used as a currency to buy better empowerment in new areas. Now this research want to understand the process of the comparison people make. The general notion of vulnerability offers a static view of vulnerability, where the factors creating it and their results are seen as permanent. But the experience shows that people perceive and respond to vulnerability in a dynamic manner, where their capabilities play an important role in coping with one set of vulnerability to move to another set of vulnerability in search of greater economic empowerment. Hence, we need to see vulnerability as a dynamic concept.

It will cover dimensions on their health, literacy level, socio-economic and political domains etc. Family who thrives by selling alcohol usually goes through a vicious cycle of poverty. Domestic violence is another aspect which women faced from their alcoholic spouse. The impact of alcohol brewery is also said to be felt upon children and local community. The absence of self help groups and the connotation attached to women linked with alcohol work compound the condition of Rongmei women involved in indigenous alcohol industry. The framework of ‘decent work’ by International Labour Organisation (ILO) will be used in understanding and analysing women in this indigenous alcohol industry.

Synopsis of Study
In the Indian context, not much has been researched on the LGBT community. Whatever limited literature available is more or less related to either health or overall socio-economic conditions of the community. Few researches on the identity, visibility, stigma, representation in physical and virtual world have also been conducted. So far I haven’t come across any research which deals with the situation and position of the LGBT community in organizations based in India.

This research is about LGBT community and their non-hegemonic identity at work place. I attempt to explore gender role expectation and gender expression in the organizational setup
